In occupied Yalta, a retaining wall was destroyed due to the construction of a private house
An anti-landslide retaining wall was destroyed in occupied Yalta. Residents of several dozen apartments in three apartment buildings were left without gas and water. Crimean public reports
It is noted that the destruction of the structure occurred due to the construction of an individual residential building on Vinogradnaya Street, 1 by the owner of the land plot. In the course of the earthworks, a retaining wall fell down, which prevents landslides on the only road along this street.
The local occupation authorities promise that construction work will be stopped, and the owner of the site will restore the retaining wall at his own expense.
"At the emergency commission, he undertook to carry out emergency restoration work and strengthen the slope at his own expense according to a project to be developed by a specialized company," said "head" of the occupation administration of Yalta Yanina Pavlenko.
The "official" also said that the project to restore the retaining wall is still under development. A support structure will be temporarily made at the site of the landslide to avoid "slipping" of the roadway. Gas and water supply to apartment buildings have already been restored.
