EU prepares new large package of military support for Ukraine - media

During the EU Council meeting at the level of foreign ministers on Monday, February 24 in Brussels, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas will announce a proposal for a large package of military support for Ukraine. It will include, first of all, munitions and air defense equipment, reports European Pravda" citing sources in Brussels' diplomatic circles

It is specified that "we are talking about a powerful package, which will include, in particular, the provision of artillery ammunition, air defense systems and missiles to Ukraine."

The new EU initiative will also focus on "training, equipping and restoring the capacity of Ukrainian brigades, including through collective training".

The specific amounts of military assistance will be determined after the discussion of the EU foreign ministers on Monday, but it is expected to be in the billions of euros.
