Zelensky invites partners to Kyiv on May 9
The Ukrainian government has invited European officials to Kyiv on May 9 as a show of diplomatic force against Moscow's annual military parade.
Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga transmitted the invitation to his European Union counterparts during a meeting in Luxembourg, urging them to "demonstrate our unity and determination in the face of the biggest aggression in Europe since World War II."
Separately, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would like to host coalition leaders on May 9 who want to "define security guarantees" for Ukraine after a possible ceasefire with Russia is agreed upon.
In his turn, Putin sent invitations to the leaders of Israel, China, Brazil, Slovakia and Serbia to join him in Moscow to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, Russian media reported. He did not invite the United States and most
