Starting May 1, servicemen fit for service in support units will be trained under a program with less physical activity

New conditions for undergoing the Basic Military Training The Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Servicemen and Members of Their Families and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have developed changes to the Basic Military Training (BMT), which have recently been approved by the Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (CinC AF of Ukraine), General Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Starting May 1, military personnel fit for service in support units, security units, TCC and JV units, military universities, training centers, medical units, as well as communications and logistics units, will be trained under a modified program that provides for:

one month of training instead of 45 days;
less physical activity;
separate training companies (platoons).

The changes apply to both recruits and servicemen who have studied at military training departments or are undergoing the CPE again due to the loss of documents or other reasons.

It is noted that these changes are part of a whole range of measures being developed by a working group chaired by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Pavlo Palisa.

Accordingly, in case of violation of the rights of servicemen or their families, please contact the official e-mail of the Commissioner: zpv@apu.gov.ua
