"There hasn't been a year in Crimea without resistance since 1991" - Andriy Shchekun
On on airto the Voice of Crimea, co-coordinator of the Euromaidan-Crimea movement, coordinator of the Humanitarian Policy group of the Crimean Platform Expert NetworkAndriy Shcheku reminded that now we know the great history that took place in Crimea in 2014, but we forget how many times Russia wanted to occupy Crimea from 1991 to 2014.
"All of us there were on adrenaline, we have a struggle every day, especially for public activists: for Ukrainian classes, opening of schools, kindergartens, groups. Education, culture, and information space were always on the line. We lived this constant struggle, we didn't have a year when it was easier [...] Moscow time is being returned, or the Ukrainian language is not a compulsory subject."
