Resident of Russian hinterland convicted for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine
An official of the aggressor country complains that the launch of Russian railroad trains through the occupied territories appears to be hampered by the active actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation told why trains from the occupied Donbass do not go to the occupied Crimea.
"We are ready to send passenger trains to Crimea, Moscow and St. Petersburg". This was stated in an interview with Izvestia by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, the Russian news agency TASS reports.
But in his interview, the official of the aggressor country complains that the launch of Russian Railways (RZD) trains through the occupied territories is "prevented" by the defenders of Ukrainian land.
"As for rail transport, we have restored some of the railways. For example, we are ready to send passenger trains to Crimea, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. But the only thing is that the enemy is constantly trying to blow up railways and carry out some sabotage. That is why we are not launching passenger traffic for safety reasons. But we have everything ready for this. Including the fully repaired railway station in Mariupol," Khusnullin said.
The Russian official also said that "the capacity of all checkpoints has been expanded:
"Now all of them have a capacity 2-10 times higher than before."
Also, according to Husnullin, all roads passing through the occupied territories of Ukraine have already been repaired by 60%.
"That is, we have reached an indicator close to the average Russian one," the official noted.
"One of the most important sections is the road along the Azov Sea, that is, the actual connection from the Rostov region to Crimea, an alternative connection to the Crimean bridge," Husnullin said.
"And step by step, by 2030, we will modernize almost the entire road, bring it to four lanes. It will serve as a transit corridor to Crimea, an alternative to the Crimean bridge, and as a development of the tourist potential of new regions," the Russian Deputy Prime Minister explained.
Husnullin did not say this, but we note that there is no air traffic with the occupied Crimea for this reason - the "operational situation" does not allow it. However, the occupiers believe that everyone in Crimea has already come to terms with the lack of air traffic with the world.
Recall that the Voice of Crimea has already written about why Russia is investing billions in the railway infrastructure in the occupied Ukrainian territories.
