He flew Su-25 aircraft. On August 10, 2018, Zubrytskyi became a candidate for test astronauts.

In 2024, after the expiration of the contract, he retired from the Russian armed forces in the rank of major.

On March 13, 2025, the Vinnytsia City Court sentenced in absentia a former pilot of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who sided with Russia after the illegal annexation of Crimea in 2014, to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for high treason and desertion by the Vinnytsia City Court.
