Zelenskiy says he had a "good" conversation with Trump

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, at the G7 meeting, which took place on the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. Zelenskyy expressed hope for continued US support for Ukraine, European Pravda writes

In turn, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas, after the EU Council meeting at the level of foreign ministers in Brussels on February 24, stated that Ukraine's path to NATO is irreversible, and therefore sooner or later Ukraine will become a member of the Alliance.

According to Kallas, if NATO membership does not happen, then the countries that provided security guarantees should answer questions about troops on the ground, about the supply of weapons and ammunition, to really guarantee the security of Ukraine.

She added that the new European Union initiative on military assistance to Ukraine, presented during the February 24 meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, has been widely welcomed, but its details will be discussed by EU leaders at an extraordinary summit on March 6.
