80th anniversary of the Yalta Peace Conference in occupied Crimea is another violation of international law by Russia, - Foreign Ministry spokesman

MFA Spokesperson Georgiy Tykhyi during a briefing on March 27 reacted to the Russian Federation's hosting of an international congress dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Yalta Conference.

"We know that in Yalta, during this historic conference, the leaders agreed on the division of spheres of influence and, in fact, distributed the map of Europe. Today, Russia is trying to do the same thing and seeks to repeat Yalta - the division of spheres of influence," said Georgiy Tykhyi.

The occupiers note that representatives from China, the United States, France and a number of other countries came to Crimea on this occasion. In addition, they brought Charles de Gaulle's grandson Pierre."

"Russia uses, in particular, the descendants of the participants of the historic Yalta Conference, inviting them to this event, seeks to declare itself as the sole heir of the Allied countries and neglects the contribution to the victory of other independent states formed on the territory of the former USSR. Here, in this context, we once again remind you that it is Russia that, since 2014, has been actively destroying the post-war global security architecture, which, in particular, was created in Yalta in 1945. But we also know that in Yalta, during this historic conference, the leaders agreed on the division of spheres of influence and, in fact, distributed the map of Europe. Today, Russia is obviously seeking the same thing," the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
