Zelenskyy: Day of Crimean resistance is a day of respect for Ukraine

The Forum "11 Years of War. The starting point: Crimea". The forum is timed to the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of Crimea to once again remind and emphasize that Russian aggression against Ukraine began in 2014 with the occupation of Crimea and that only with the liberation of the peninsula will a just peace and security be achieved.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the years after the occupation of Crimea have brought a lot of grief and cynicism. Many in the world did not want to understand what was really happening.

In his address, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that on February 26, 2014, thousands of Crimeans, Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars came out to protest in Simferopol with the slogans "Crimea is Ukraine".

In his turn, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Mishchenko pointed out that he was an ambassador to four countries, two of which can serve as an example that the struggle ends in victory.

Vice-President of the European Parliament Pina Picherno noted that the Russian occupation of Crimea is illegal, and most importantly, it was the beginning of Russian crimes.
