Resident of Russian hinterland convicted for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine served a notice of suspicion to the head of the military-patriotic club "Varyag" in Simferopol
The SBU and the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol simultaneously served a notice of suspicion to an offender who is building "military camps" for children in the occupied Crimea. It is the head of the military-patriotic club "Varyag", "which promotes service in the Russian armed forces among children and youth of Crimea. He is charged with violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the publicationProsecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
According to the SBU of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which conducted the investigation under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, the offender "supervises the construction of a 'camp' where the Nazis will teach children intelligence and sabotage activities, firing techniques from various types of weapons, and drone control. The children's military center will be located in Simferopol and will be equipped with an obstacle course, a climbing wall, shooting ranges and a pond for diving training," the statement says.
It is noted that the investigation also knows that the defendant received funding for this "project" from the Putin grant fund. The enemy accomplice has extensive experience in "zombifying" Ukrainian children and has been doing this since 2017. Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators served the suspect a notice of suspicion in absentia under Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (war crimes)
Since the offender is in the temporarily occupied territory, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring him to justice for crimes against our state. The report of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol also added details: it was established that it was the suspect who in 2017 "created and headed the Varyag military-patriotic club". The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the SBU Main Directorate in the AR of Crimea with the operational support of the SBU DCO. He faces up to 12 years in prison for these actions
"With the purpose of attracting more young people to such "training" and promoting their "military-patriotic education", in November 2019, the suspect took the post of chairman of the board of the "regional public organization" Union of Border Guards of Crimea ", - informs the prosecutor's office.
"Later, in 2020, the suspect, in an interview with the pro-Russian media outlet Radio/Krym, promoted voluntary enlistment in the Russian Armed Forces. In particular, he called on teenagers to apply to centers for patriotic and military education and specialized educational institutions that train mobilization reserves for the enemy army," the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol said in a statement.
"Holos Kryma" has already writtenabout the suspect Oleksandr Dyachenko and his brainchild - the Varyag club, which was located in the occupied city of Simferopol on Radishcheva Street.
