Chinese create "regional public organization" in Crimea
The Chinese community of the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, whose composition is currently unknown, has submitted "documents for registration of a regional public organization". Anastasia Gridchina, who positions herself as "the chairman of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea on Public Diplomacy and Interregional Relations," told this on the air of the Russian occupiers' Sputnik in Crimea radio station."
"The Chinese [in the TOT of Crimea] are not numerous, but they decided to formalize themselves. They considered the possibility of creating a national cultural autonomy, but this is a more complicated process of legal registration, so they came to the conclusion that they would create a regional public organization," she said.
According to Gridchina, over the past few years, the growth of "registrations" of cultural communities in the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has decreased, as "the majority has already been registered, but small nationalities still remain." In her opinion, the creation of cultural communities in the TOT of the AR of Crimea provides an opportunity to participate in all regional programs and events with financial support; in addition, separate books and magazines can be published for them in their native languages.
At the same time, Gridchina, who is also called by the occupiers "the head of the Ukrainian community of Crimea", complained about "problems in establishing ties" between Ukrainians in the occupied Crimea and the territory controlled by Ukraine, but assured that "this issue is being resolved in some way". At the same time, she said that in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government, "people's phones are allegedly checked on the streets, and they are simply intimidated."
Recently, a "regional branch of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia" was established in the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, headed by "First Vice Speaker of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea" Sergei Tsekov; his "deputies" were "Deputy Head of the Russian community of Crimea" Natalia Lantukh and "deputies of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea" Anastasia Gridchina and Ibraim Shirin, who allegedly "represent the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities of the region". In addition, the meeting elected a 17-member "board of the association" from among "heads of national-cultural autonomies" and representatives of "public organizations."
At the same time, it was stated that the "department" will be engaged in "strengthening interethnic relations, preserving and developing the cultural and linguistic diversity of Crimea". According to Gridchina, the creation of a "regional branch of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia" will allegedly "help popularize the cultures of people living in other regions." At the same time, she admitted that the organization's primary task is to help the Russian occupation army on the territory of Ukraine under the guise of "national and cultural societies."
